Compare/Contrast.

I wasn't really a big fan of Juno, so it goes without saying that I am also not a big fan of Diablo Cody. I have nothing against her, but I guess I just got sick of the Juno hoopla pretty quickly and the fact that many other films and tv shows are using a similar style to hook Juno lovers to watch is just obnoxious.

Anyhow... the point isn't about Cody or Juno. But rather, Cody's new film Jennifer's Body, starring Megan Fox (groan) as a man-eating temptress of sorts. She's apparently possessed by a demon and starts trying to hook up with (and inevitably killing) all the boys in her high school (yes, HIGH SCHOOL.) Now, forget that I'm supposed to somehow believe that Fox is 18 (it's hard enough believing she's younger than I am and looks at least 5 or 10 years older.) Forget the gratuitous everything in the trailer. While I'm kind of happy to see any kind of bisexual character (albeit a crazy demon girl that is probably only written as "going both ways" to ensnare the young boys and more importantly, their young hard-on's)... I don't know how to feel about this movie. I like horror flicks, sure. But... well. Yeah.

Check out the trailer and let me know what you think:

Oh, and before I forget... the main reason for my post is that I have yet to read anything anywhere about the glaring similarities between the promo poster for Jennifer's Body and the one used for True Blood:

Or am I just completely insane?

I don't see any similarities at all between the poster. What I do see is an insatiable appetite to destroy one the greatest actress to come on the screen since Kathy Griffin. I'm sorry I read this blog. That kind of talk is going to give the new transformer movie a bad name.

I do agree with the Juno thing...I just couldn't get in to the whole hip chick you has to name drop bands for cool points and be real about her under age pregnancy.
It screams MTV will make this very real situation hip and trendy.
What your fourteen and you haven't had any kids yet. God, Ashton Kutcher will never notice you for his new show.
